What is CML?
CML (chronic myeloid leukemia or chronic myelogenous leukemia) is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow (soft tissue within bones). Blood cells are made in the bone marrow.
How is CML Treated?
Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) is caused by a mutation that makes abnormal blood cells multiply and crowd out healthy ones. TKI treatment helps block the signal that causes this growth.
